Women on the Way Festival | Jan 14, 22 & 23, 2011 at 8pm | The Garage in San Francisco.

Libretto is a new work by Jennifer Mellor in collaboration with poet Jennifer Kwon Dobbs and cellist/composer Jessica Ivry. The juxtaposition and interactions of four dancers moving through space, stillness and tight footwork meld with a soundscape of live, swelling cello and dramatic poetic imagery to capture the conflict of an overseas-adopted Korean child struggling to embody an unknown culture.

Libretto features Wendy Marinaccio, Jennifer Mellor, Jamie Venci, and Jennifer Wang,
with cellist Jessica Ivry. Poetry by Jennifer Kwon Dobbs. Costumes by Karen McWilliams.

Prism is a modern dance trio by Jennifer Mellor in collaboration with Houston-based singer-songwriter Jason Brown about heartbreak and struggle, confidence and community, and finally peace and beauty.

Prism features Jennifer Mellor, Jamie Venci, and Jennifer Wang, with live music by singer-songwriter Jason Brown, Jon Titterington (1/14) & Thad Andrews (1/22-23). Costumes by Karen McWilliams.
